Evil Empire

Image
Dictator Putin continues what Dictator Stalin started. Some years ago Russia did start new narrative about Finnish war crimes in WW2. Claims about concentration camps and genocide. All of this aiming just to justify military actions towards Finland. And just for the record, those are just lies, without any evidence. Even straight after WW2, Soviet union prosecutor committee did not find war crimes. On the contrary they did prove that there was not any.   Fi war trials Then few war crimes in WW2 committed by Soviet union, but as usual never admitted by Soviet Union even all hard facts existing. Seitajärvi Elisenvaara After war Kaleva Basically allies (Britain, USA and etc..) in WW2 just helped 1 evil empire to crush another one. It is so amazing when Russia is by the far largest country in the world, and still they just can't fit within their borders, they always need to have war somewhere.  Here excellent video by former Finnish Intelligence officer, explaining why Russia will neve

River of Taipale - River of death Winter war 1939 - 1940 between Finland and Soviet union, was really bitter fighting in freezing cold. River Taipale was part of the Mannerheim line.  And as every time in Winter war, Soviet union did have undisputed superiority on manpower, tanks, aircrafts and artillery. In battles of Taiple Finnish did have 1 division and some artillery, but 0 tanks and aircrafts. Soviet union did have 4 divisions and countless amount of artillery, tanks and aircrafts. Nevertheless Soviet union did not achieve break trough at Taipale river in Winter war. And that was mostly due to bravery of ordinary Finnish soldier.  This book is written by Paavo Linnanterä, he was head of the company, they were part of the 10th division 1/JR. He is using his own and company wartime diaries. He is giving his first hand view what did happen in trenches of Taipale. Battles were extremely brutal, savage and ferocious. Quota from 1 day of the week, that they did call Hells w

Complete history book about WW2 All hell let loose - The world at war 1939-1945 by Max Hastings. Max Hasting has born to write about war history and he have done so last 35 years. This might be his best book and same time one the best books ever written about WW2 history. Book includes tons of facts with insterestings statistics. Hasting has really studied casulties, weapons, production figures and etc... He explains politics, war strategies of different countries and explain how things did happen. Same time he tells stories of invidual human's in the middle of this hell. This books show's really the big picture of WW2 including all view points. By that way he can make history fact book with novel book structure, really interesting way to present things. Max Hastings does not stand on anyone's side, he draws complete picture. Book explains how major battles and war efforts were made in eastern front, that western allies war efforts were much smaller than Germans

Angel of death - Most wanted man in the world

Image
Most wanted and hated man in the world after WW2. Infamous nazi doctor Josef Mengele. First of all, there is not any justice in this story. This is really sad and horrific story with easter front battles, Auschwitz atrocities, escape after ww2, Mossad vendetta, Nazi hunters, politics and money. But despite of that it is very interesting reading and gives picture how most wanted man in the world could escape every possible operator for 30 years, and trurth was revealead 6 years after his death. So how this was possible: - USA did have Mengele after WW2 but with total incompetence they let him go - Even Mossad managed to illegally kidnap Adolf Eichman, they still were not able to catch Mengele due to incompetence. And some times innocent men were illegally executed when wronly identifying them as nazi criminal. - Simon Wiesenthal was more interested to raise money and fame for himself than to actually catch Mengele. And many times he just made up stories about Mengele which c

Stalingrad - Most epic battle of WW2

Image
Stalingrad Stalingrad the most epic battle of WW2. Book is written by Antony Beevor, he does write books almost with same level than Max Hastings. Historical facts with some human destiny, which makes books very interesting to read. If you know WW2 history via Hollywood or by allied stories, you might think that biggest battle was Normandia beach landing. And that USA did biggest sacrifice when beating Axis. But that is not the case, nowhere even near. In WW2 USA suffered 416800 military deaths. In Stalingrad battle Germany and Soviet union both side suffered about 500000 military deaths. And that was only one battle in the eastern front. So it gives some perspective to WW2 battles. And there was about 50000 russians fighting in Axis side in Stalingrad, something that Soviet Union official history won't tell you. Stalingrad was the most decisive battle of WW2, not the Normandia landing or battle of the Bulge. Read it and be surprised what soldiers of that time could take.

Otto Skorzeny - Most dangerous man in Europe

Image
SS - commando Otto Skorzeny, written by Stuart Smith Otto Skorzeny - Most dangerous man in Europe. That title he earned in WW2. He was extraordinary soldier who did complete some "Mission impossible" operations during WW2. He liberated Mussolini on one the most daring commando raids ever. He was member of SS and loyal to Hitler till the bitter end. Which did cause some problems for him after the war. But he was never convicted as war criminal. After the war he was successful businessmen. He did have some export / import companies, worked as military advisor, involved in gun trafficking and international espionage with many parties. This book is written with very critical view on Skorzeny. Not giving any favors and even trying to belittle his achievements. But in final words says, that Skorzeny was brave soldier, daring adventurer, pioneer in commando warfare and really energetic person. Who was born to publicity. If you want to read about most amazing real life sto
